- [About Power] If unsure about voltage drop (even professionals), connect the negative wire directly to the battery’s negative terminal. Use chassis ground only if resistance between battery negative and ground is 0 Ω. Do not ground to unstable points like handlebars. Poor crimp terminal contact can also cause voltage drop. Note: Ground resistance may show normal voltage with no load but drop under load. To verify power, measure load voltage with wiring connected, circuit complete, holder switch ON, and probe the SAE connector slightly. No-load voltage is unreliable for judging power quality.
